Advergame for EA, NFS Canyon Racer
NFS Canyon Racer won Best Word-of-mouth, Peer-to-peer or Viral Communication at the Australian Interactive Media Industry Association Awards.
NFS Canyon Racer is a viral 3-D shockwave web game built to support the launch of the latest installation in the Need4Speed franchise: Carbon.
At the time this project was certainly our most ambitious project. We worked with Hyro & Virtual Ideas to push web gaming to it's limits in order to bring this teaser game as close as possible to the real console game experience.
This project won Best Word-of-Mouth, Peer-to-Peer or Viral Communication at the Australian Interactive Media Industry Association Awards.
From the Hyro website: “While the live site and reporting application is hosted by Electronic Arts and metrics are generally not distributed, there were an impressive 170,919 visits in the initial two weeks following launch in mid-November 2006.”
